Dear Class of 2020 and Families
Some exciting events are coming up soon to celebrate the Class of 2020. This email contains details regarding the Cap & Gown Pickup Day and the Diploma Delivery Day. Prior to these events, don’t forget to check out our website for both our Senior Awards program (will be posted May 27 at noon) and Senior Decision Day (will be posted June 1 at noon).
Unfortunately, our graduation vendor, Balfour, has informed us that our Colgan custom graduation gowns will be delayed yet again. While they previously assured us that the gowns would be delivered to the school on June 2 in time for our June 3 delivery to you, Balfour informed us yesterday afternoon that, because of continued delays in their production plant, the gowns will not arrive by June 2.
However, we have negotiated the following solution. On June 3, you will receive your cap, tassel, and a navy graduation gown. You will be able to wear your cap, tassel, and the navy gown to the Diploma Delivery Day.
When our Colgan specific gowns are produced, which Balfour says will be another week or so after their promised delivery date of June 2, they will mail them directly to your home (if you are moving, we can arrange other plans for you). These are the gowns you will wear to our in-person Graduation Ceremony in August. The fill-in navy gowns will not need to be returned.
For the specific details regarding Cap & Gown pickup day please click her e.
As a reminder, we will also be collecting all Senior Obligations on this day (textbooks, music instruments, laptops, library books, etc.).
Diploma Delivery Day is on schedule and we are excited to share this important moment with you. I have personally signed all 710 diplomas and our counseling staff is busy finalizing them for you. Please see the specific time for your arrival. Planning for a smooth event with over 700 graduates is tricky, and to make it as smooth as possible we need you to adhere to your time slot.

While Diploma Delivery Day is not your Graduation, we are planning to make the event special for you. We will have a photographer on site to capture the moment you receive your diploma through your car window! This picture will be available to you as a free digital download.
As always, Senior Class of 2020 updates can be found on our website.
I’m looking forward to seeing all of you!
